The local church is called the Body of Christ because we are His hands, feet and voice to bring comfort, help and the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world. It is the responsibility of every believer to look for opportunities and listen to the promptings of God's Spirit to respond to needs around them. But we also work together to make a greater impact when possible. These are some of the ways we are reaching into our community:
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2013
Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
The following dates and times are from Donna Roberts and Operation Christmas Child. They will be in the future Care Center (basement) during these times, collecting boxes from all those that would like to participate.

Prison Ministry at YOS (Youth Offender System in Pueblo)
Every Wednesday night a team of men and women drive to Pueblo to lead a Bible study and to interact with the young men and women who have been given a last chance to change the direction of their lives.
The study was started in September of 2004 with 2 volunteers and just 2 young men. The next week, attendance dropped 50%, and the third week no one showed up! After praying for confirmation and direction, the team returned the next week to find 7 young men. The attendance has continued to grow. We now have 5 full-time volunteers and average 30 young men each week in our study group. Our team has been blessed to be part of 32 baptisms at the facility and have sponsored 3 Yard Events which included special speakers, a band and even Christian comedians. The events are topped off with our ministry team preparing and serving meals for the entire campus. If you are interested in being part of this ministry, contact Kelly Barlow, Team Leader, at email@example.com
During the Thanksgiving season, we encourage our congregation to consider those in great need. With the help of the local schools, we provide holiday meal boxes, complete with a turkey, potatoes and everything else needed for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, for more than 100 families.
