For those of us who lived through the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon, today’s date is forever etched in our minds. And while that day brings back sobering memories, the year of 2020 will as well. This has been quite the emotional rollercoaster and the ride isn’t over. Yet in the midst of tragedy and discomfort, God continues to guide and provide. He’s promised to carry our burdens and to never leave us or forsake us, and He’s kept his word!
Over the past two weeks, we’ve started up our Fall ministry programs! MOPS, MOMSnext and the Well-Care Classes have begun, and there is still time to sign up. More events are coming your way this weekend:
8:00-9:30am Saturday, Sept. 12 in the Peak View Room
Tomorrow we’ll have our first Men’s Breakfast on campus since we relaunched the breakfast in March. You are invited to fellowship with other men in the church, hear a message and then join in table discussions drawn from the book, Wild at Heart, by John Eldredge.
Now that kids are back in school, we are also ready to fully open our Children’s Ministry on Sunday mornings! Our KIDMin Staff (Wendy Wagoner, Sydney Stoltzfus and Kara Little) and a host of eager volunteers have prepared well to keep our kids safe and engaged in learning about Jesus! We will have our full slate of classes for ages birth through 5th grade at both 9:15 and 11:00am. Due to COVID, we have reduced class sizes. We encourage you to come at 11:00am if possible to help balance our numbers. msINCLINE continues at 9:15am in our wonderfully remodeled worship space. Small groups start this week. hsALTITUDE small groups start this week as well.
For the next three Sundays, we have our introductory classes for those wanting to know more about the church or are interested in becoming members. The Newcomers Welcome is a lunch meeting this Sunday at 11:00am in the Peak View Room. The Membership Classes will be Sept. 20th and 27th at the same time and room. We want to do all we can to partner with you in finding hope and freedom in Jesus!
Each week more people are joining us for corporate worship! We know that many feel safer following us online, yet our hope is that you will be able to return to live services soon. Sunday I’ll wrap up The Core series by talking about the value of Humor. It will be fun!
The Lord Bless and Keep You,
